Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles,increase flexibility and improve the general health of the body.
The main purpose of Pilates exercises is to ensure mind-body integrity. For an efficient workout,each exercise focuses on breathing and correct movements. Pilates strengthens the body’s core and reduces stress by increasing balance and coordination.
You will usually start to feel the difference in your body in a short time like 10 classes, your body will get stronger and stretch in the first month, you can have a completely different body at the end of 30 classes. It is enough to do Pilates 2 or 3 days a week.
You can do Pilates every day.
All classes are 50 minutes long.
Lessons which are not cancelled 12 hours before planned time will be considered to be done.
Lessons are planned to give you the maximum benefit, therefore it’s important to start and finish the lessons on time.
Grip socks are required to be worn during lessons.
It is requested not to use intense perfume/fragrance
Pregnants can start Pilates after taking approval from their doctor. Pilates increases the quality of pregnancy period by ensuring balanced muscle development and by decreasing the pressure on muscles. Using ‘correct breathing techniques’ during Pilates heals you mentally and physically before giving birth to your baby. Pilates exercises during pregnancy also supports and shortens your body’s recovery period after giving birth to your baby.
Many of professional athletes use Pilates in their exercise programs. Joseph Pilates method, focuses on the physical needs dancers and athletes. That’s why, Pilates method includes methods of flexibility, strength, endurance, correct breathing techniques. Pilates also reduces the possibility of injury by working on deep muscle groups and supports the recovery period in case of injury.
Pilates is an exercise which includes safe and usefull methods for people, from all age groups. As people get older, decreased muscle mass ratio slows down the reflexes of the body which makes harder to maintain the balance of body. Having fit body in all ages,increases the quality of life.
